The latest news is a little bit of a family update but directly related to a ministry update. After a lot of prayer Leslie has decided to sell her clothing store and come on staff with Students International. Secretly it is something that I have been praying for a while, but I didn’t want to push her. She is going to be working part time at our office, she will help to bring much needed order to our office as well as to Fernando. Fernando has been doing so much work for so long it has been a little difficult for him to delegate items. Both Leslie and I are excited to try and free Fernando from all the little things that can fill up his day. She just started this week and it will take a little bit to get her up to speed everything that we would like her to do. But we are all so happy for Leslie and S.I., it is fun to see us growing (in many different ways). She continues to work with the youth group and spends most of her day carting Natalia around. Natalia has been doing pretty well, but not sure how she will do with the new schedule change. Pray that it goes well for all of us.
With this new transition comes a leap of faith for our family. We know that these are difficult economic times all around the world, and we will now be making the transition to 100% support based. It is a scary move, especially with a baby, but we know that God has brought us together to this point, and He will continue to do the same. Originally we were not planning a trip back to MN this year, due to the financial crunch, but we have now decided that it would be a good idea for me (Seth) to travel back for fund-raising purposes. We would like to extend a challenge to all of you who read this blog. If you are already sponsoring us, we are so incredibly grateful, could you consider a $10 increase in your support? If you are not sponsoring us, could we talk about the possibility of you coming on board with us, $20 or $30 a month? And to all of you, do you know someone that would be interested in hearing more about the ministry, that we could sit down and share with them? To give you a better idea, we are looking to raise another $700 a month.
I hope that this blog doesn’t come across as a desperate cry for help. The Lord is providing and there is plenty of food on the table. But at the same time it is something that we need to be very intentional about. Please pray above all else, God will guide you in your decision and will help you to know how to pray for us and the ministry here. And any time that one of you would like to come and visit I would be more than ready to have a place for you to stay and take you around.
Please check out the flickr pictures on the right side of the blog, there are some great ones of Natalia and of the community center building project. We have a team coming in on Saturday to help with the construction. I will have another update soon in regards to the building project.

This doesn't have a lot to do with the blog, but it's one of my favorite pictures!

I spent the better part of a week working on the baby’s room, painting it and getting things organized. It was like “Ty’s secret room,” I didn’t let Leslie see it until I was finished. I managed to finish on a Saturday night and Sunday night I took a nasty spill playing basketball. Strangely enough nothing hurt to bad while I was playing. About midnight I woke up with ”this ain’t right” pain in my wrist. Went to the emergency room at 8:00 am the next morning and had an X-ray done.
Natalia Grace Jurgenson Gonzalez was welcomed into this world on March 23rd at 5:27 a.m.
The wait is almost over. One more month and the baby should be here. Leslie, like most pregnant women at this stage, is ready be done being pregnant. We went out last week to check out hospitals, we were planning to do it earlier, but you can read the post about the car to understand why we didn’t. So we haven’t found a place yet, but there’s still time left. We are both excited to welcome our daughter into this world and to finally have her here in our arms. And a little reward for all of you that read this blog, we have decided on a name. Natalia Grace. Her in Latin America we do two last names so please pray for our child and her upbringing because people have a seriously hard time with my last name, so her full name is Natalia Grace Jurgenson Gonzalez, like I said, pray for her. We have had a few baby showers and the baby’s room is almost complete. We are blessed with a strong Students International community and many of our family members have offered to help out. My father and brother will be coming down at the end of March to help out as well. I truly hope that we will all be able to visit this next fall, but there are a lot of factors in play, so we can begin praying about that now. Above all else we just want to praise God for this incredible miracle of life and all of the amazing blessings that he has been giving us in our lives. Join us as we praise the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
